For this kitchen renovation in Rosanna, we transformed a previously enclosed and dated kitchen and dining area into a sophisticated, open-plan space designed around everyday living and entertaining. The renovation involved much more than replacing cabinetry. By removing existing walls and carefully restructuring the ceiling, we were able to create a considerably more open connection between the kitchen, dining and adjoining living areas.
A key part of the project was the structural work required to remove a load-bearing wall. We installed new LVL counter and ceiling beams, reframed and replastered affected walls and ceilings, and coordinated the engineering requirements needed to deliver the new layout. We also replaced the existing family room sliding door and introduced a large fixed aluminium window to the dining area, helping natural light travel through the revitalised interior.
The custom kitchen cabinetry brings warmth and refinement to the finished space. Rich timber-look Polytec decorative doors and panels define the lower cabinetry and generous island, complemented by crisp white overhead cabinetry for a lighter visual balance. Soft-close doors and drawers maintain the clean, streamlined appearance, while a double pull-out bin provides practical concealed storage.
Stone surfaces add another luxurious layer to the design, with a 20mm stone benchtop wrapping the L-shaped kitchen and a substantial 40mm stone benchtop creating a strong focal point across the island. The stone-look tiled splashback extends above the cabinetry, introducing subtle movement and texture while maintaining the kitchen’s restrained neutral palette.
An undermount sink and streamlined tapware sit beneath the expansive kitchen window, creating a beautiful outlook and an uncluttered preparation zone. Integrated and built-in appliances, including the induction cooktop, undermount rangehood, microwave and oven, contribute to the kitchen’s contemporary lines. Dedicated cabinetry also provides generous storage around the refrigerator, while concealed bar storage adds a thoughtful feature alongside the dining area.
The result is a complete Rosanna kitchen renovation that feels brighter, more spacious and far better connected to the way the home is used. Warm cabinetry, natural-look stone, considered lighting and precise craftsmanship come together in a kitchen that balances functionality with understated luxury.
