We completed this refined bathroom and powder room renovation in Caulfield with a focus on natural materials, bespoke joinery, and thoughtful spatial planning. Designed to elevate everyday routines, this project blends warm textures with precise craftsmanship to create a calm, contemporary retreat.

The ensuite was fully reconfigured and stripped back to its framework, allowing us to rebuild with a high-performance waterproofing system and a tiled shower base for durability and longevity . A standout feature is the expansive double shower, enclosed by a fully frameless glass screen and fitted with twin shower systems. The inclusion of a full-width recessed niche adds both functionality and visual continuity, with mitred tile edges delivering a seamless, high-end finish.

A custom double vanity anchors the space, topped with striking Ocean Vein-cut travertine. This natural stone was carefully fabricated with mitred aprons and integrated undermount basins, showcasing the organic movement and tonal variation of the material . Paired with dark, sculptural tapware and expansive mirrored cabinetry, the vanity balances softness with bold architectural detail. Feature lighting introduces a warm ambience, complementing the earthy palette of full-height tiles laid in a clean horizontal stack pattern.

Above, a bespoke skylight transforms the room by drawing in natural light, enhancing the texture of the tiles and stone while creating a sense of openness. This architectural addition required precise carpentry, plastering, and finishing to achieve a flawless integration into the ceiling.

The powder room and adjoining lounge area continue the design narrative with custom cabinetry and tailored joinery. In the lounge, a bespoke shelving unit with integrated LED lighting provides both storage and display, echoing the materiality and craftsmanship seen in the bathroom spaces. In the powder room, a custom vanity with matching travertine benchtop and refined fittings delivers a cohesive and luxurious feel in a more compact footprint.
