This Bittern renovation gave us the opportunity to transform a series of practical wet areas into bright, beautifully resolved spaces with a consistent design language throughout. Working across the main bathroom, ensuite and laundry, we focused on improving functionality while introducing a fresh palette of crisp whites, soft greys and decorative pattern. The result feels contemporary and uplifting while retaining warmth and personality.
In the main bathroom, a generous 1700mm bathtub creates a comfortable focal point, paired with a glass bath screen and chrome shower fittings for a clean, streamlined finish. Gloss white wall tiles reflect natural and artificial light throughout the room, while patterned floor tiles bring softness and visual interest underfoot. We carried the same decorative tile into the recessed shower niche, creating a subtle connection between the floor and wall detailing. The project documentation specified tiling to the shower-over-bath zone, vanity and toilet wall, together with a tiled niche and practical skirting tiles around the remaining walls.
The ensuite follows the same refined approach on a more compact scale. A semi-frameless glass shower enclosure helps maintain an open feel, while the tiled shower base and recessed niche provide a seamless, easy-care finish. A large round mirror visually expands the room, and the patterned vessel basin adds an individual decorative element against the understated white vanity and chrome tapware. The renovation also incorporated wall insulation, upgraded linings and a new cavity sliding door to help maximise usable space.
Storage and craftsmanship were equally important in the adjoining laundry renovation. Custom cabinetry features 2 Pac shaker-style doors, a 40mm Quantum Quartz benchtop and cabinetry extending to approximately 2.3 metres high with MDF bulkheads for a built-in appearance.
Open shelving introduces a practical place for baskets and everyday items, while the long benchtop, integrated trough and overhead cupboards make the room highly functional. Patterned floor tiles continue the visual theme established in the bathrooms.
Across the renovation, careful cabinetry, tiling, glazing and fitting selections have created cohesive spaces that feel lighter, more spacious and better suited to everyday living.
